Job Description: The opportunity to support the design, engineering, upgrade, and operation of the Fort Monmouth network information infrastructure, including management of all end, intermediate, and transfer systems. Functional areas of responsibility for the Network Information Assurance team include network and security architecture and engineering, functional and performance analyses, risk and vulnerability analyses, policy development and documentation, system integration, router and firewall management, intrusion detection operation, virtual private network integration and management, enterprise management, problem analysis and resolution, and support to incident response.

Education: BS in a professional discipline is preferred

Desired Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess the following minimum experience:
· Minimum of three years experience (five desired) with designing,
implementing and troubleshooting Ethernet local networks with a thorough understanding of bridges and routers, (experience with Cisco routers required).
· Minimum of 2 years experience (4 desired) utilizing protocol
analyzers (Network Associates Sniffer Pro) and possess a thorough knowledge of OSI 7 layer networking model, MS-DOS commands and configuration, as well as PC memory management. Experience with Sonnet Manager, UNIX and NOVELL BACKGROUND, MICROSOFT NETWORKING is required.
· Minimum of 3 years experience (5 desired) with information
security products (Firewalls, Vulnerability Scanners, VPN, PKI, Intrusion Detection).
· Detailed understanding of TCP/IP addressing and sub-netting
· Knowledge in the monitoring of a firewall system to ensure
continuous availability.

Location: Ft. Monmouth New Jersey
