Sr Security Architect Needed--Ohio
From: Jeff Kruger <jeffk(at)virtuallyhired.com>
Date: Wed Apr 23 2003 - 10:12:09 EDT ('binary' encoding is not supported, stored as-is) I am currently recruiting for a Sr. Security Architect for a very successful financial institution in Ohio. This position will be the primary person responsible for setting the strategic architecture for all information security across all platforms and business units of this large financial institution. This position will not have direct reports, but will interface with the current information security team who this person will guide (project manage) for implementation of new security architecture or components. This position will be working closely with the various business units, and will interface on a regular basis with technical and non-technical members of the business unit. This person must be able to shift gears and communicate complex technical issues to technical staff, as well as explaining ideas and selling the game plan to non-technical participants / stake holders. The position will be responsible for striking a balance between 100 percent security and useful systems through risk and response analysis. The first task this person must accomplish is the examination of security architecture and procedures / policies that are already in place and then recommend what needs to be enhanced, changed, improved, discarded, etc. etc., etc., as well as recommending what other architectural components need to be added / addressed. This individual will be a participant in the examination (from a security perspective) of any new software(s), platforms, or business units (acquisitions) as they are integrated into the environment. The ideal candidate should be a CISSP, and may have already been a CISO. This person should be currently or formerly employed for a larger, multi-platform environment that includes a significant open system and web component, and must be technical in understanding the open systems platform and being able to Examine vulnerabilities as they relate to operating systems, networks, applications, etc., but also have a proven track record at the architectural level. This person might currently be a #2 person in an environment and would be ready to assume this architecture role at Fifth Third. While this position might have a leadership component, this is not a management role, and will have no management or administrative functions except as related to being the advocate for infosec. Please give me a call when you get a chance, or email me a copy of your information, and we can discuss this in more detail. I would also appreciate it if you could forward this to anyone you feel may be interested.
Thanks in advance
Jeff Kruger
