Application Security Consultant - VA/DC $75K - $100K base

My client is an emerging leader in the Application Security and Software Quality Assurance professional services space. As more and more companies begin to address the risks associated with application based vulnerabilities, my client is positioned to take advantage of this growing market opportunity.

They are currently searching for Application Security Consultants at both staff and principal levels to be based in the Virginia and DC area.

Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Candidates must have experience with client relationship management, pre and post sales support, and the ability to successfully lead on-site client engagements.
Candidates must demonstrate a passion for and a deep understanding of application security and software quality assurance.

Qualified candidates should have a thorough understanding of secure application development practices, application architecture, operation, deployment, and the integration of commercial and proprietary applications. Candidates should be skilled in protocol analysis, source code review, application infrastructure assessment, web application security, and penetration testing.
Technical exposures should include: Development experience and security aspects of Java, C, C++, XML, EJB, J2EE, Web Services (.NET, Websphere, etc.), web application security scanning and assessment tools, application vulnerability remediation.
