Title: Technical Security Investigator

Primary areas of responsibility will include: Coordinating technical incident response and remediation activities for all AOL Time Warner Divisions (AOL Time Warner Corporate, America Online, Inc., Turner/CNN, Warner Bros., HBO, Time Warner Cable and Warner Music Group). Providing security analysis and consultation services for product, system and network architecture designs. Performing hands-on computer investigations and forensic analysis, host-, network- and system-based security assessments. Developing new security investigative  tools, procedures and support capabilities for a variety of computing environments, platforms and applications. Assisting in development and implementation of technical security policy.

Skills Required: 3-6 years of directly related experience in system and/or security administration in a multi-platform Unix (any variants - HP-UX, Solaris, Linux, IRIX, BSD) and Windows NT/2000 environment. Solid knowledge of information security standards and incident response protocols and practices. Experienced in technical security analysis and comprehension of networking protocols and network architecture.  Familiarity with various network and host-based security applications and tools, such as network and host assessment/scanning tools and other security software packages. Excellent written communication skills and the proven ability to present complex, technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Skills Desired: Solid project management skills. Previous experience on a Computer Incident or Emergency Response Team. Previous experience in technical security consulting with particular skills and knowledge of intrusion detection systems, penetration testing and/or system auditing. Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms, protocols and tools.

Unique Requirements: Candidates will be coordinating incident response and remediation and providing security analysis and consultation for a multi-billion dollar enterprise. Must be willing to take part in a 24x7 On-Call Pager rotation and willing to be on occasional travel.
