Security Engineer (SE) is a Security Operations Center (SOC) position with the responsibility to execute day-to-day security management operations in accordance with the Managed Security Services global mission. SEs work in the SOC, under the guidance of the SE Sr. Manager, accomplishing daily operational tasks to defined SE standards. All SEs are responsible for the installation, configuration, health, and management of all SOC managed security devices. SEs are trained to implement industry best practices with regard to firewall and IDS management.

Responsibilities include:
Customer support, security system engineering, firewall and IDS management, security consulting, and ticket resolution.
-Configure, implement, maintain, patch and update deployed security
devices
-Troubleshoot device problems and monitoring outages
-Implement customer change requests
-Configure & maintain client VPNs and verify connectivity between the SOC
and customer devices
-Resolve SOC tickets and ticket related issues
-Verify the uptime, health & welfare of all customer devices
-Ensure that standard SOC processes are followed when integrating new
devices
-Provide feedback for device management practices and engineering
requirements
-Maintain and track support issues for deployed devices
-Ability to effectively interact with other departments throughout the
