Technical Security Delivery Manager role

I am currently looking for a Technical Delivery Manager (contract)

Due to the nature of the work only UK citizen candidates with a DV Security Clearance are able to apply.

REQUIREMENT The Security Delivery Manager report to the Project Integration Authority (via the TDMT Team Leader) and will be responsible for driving through delivery of the security component of Project.

The Security Delivery Manager should be a senior and credible figure with a good knowledge of government security at the level of Project and with the organisational and leadership skills to deliver a solution. The holder will be a security expert with the visibility and track record of driving through complex security solutions, preferably within the Government classified domain. They will be expected to liase very closely with the CESG Security Assurance Team working on behalf of the Programme.

ROLE The postholder will report to the Project Integration Authority and will take responsibility for co-ordination of the activities of the various security groups and security activities. The main tasks will include:

· Act as secretary to the Project Security Accreditation Panel (SSAP)
· Monitor and ensure co-ordination of the activities of the SSAP Task Teams
· Manage the delivery of an Accreditation Document Set (ADS) for the Project
Programme
· Deliver a template and ensure delivery of an ADS for each Partner system
· Work with the security community representatives to develop a security
policy for Project
· Co-ordinate the accreditation process for Project and all it’s associated
systems
· Act as liaison/point of contact for all technical and planning matters
between Project and the security community or CESG
· On behalf of the Programme manage security related problems and issues

· Be registered in the CESG Listed Advisor Scheme (CLAS):
· Be able to demonstrate senior leadership and decision making skills and
attributes necessary to deliver the security solutions in a tight programme;
· Have a good knowledge of the accreditation process and requirements for
government systems;
· Have the knowledge and confidence to challenge the status quo and work
with the security authorities to move the national policy forwards into the Project domain;
· Be aware of the latest developments in security both in the Government and
commercial fields in the UK and abroad;
· Have a good technical knowledge of security of large, distributed systems;
· Have experience of the technology applicable to high security government
systems;
· Be capable of demonstrating good communication skills, both written and
verbal; and
· Be a DV cleared UK national

In addition it is highly desirable that the individual should:

· Have knowledge of the Project user community and sensitivity to their
diverse security concerns;
· Have experience working within major government programmes;
· Have good experience working within a PRINCE 2 managed environment; and
· Have knowledge (and preferably experience) working within an MSP 99
framework.
