My client is a large, public quoted utilities company is looking for an IT security engineer to join its growing team. You will maintain and develop the IT Security of the company's Internet and Intranet sites. The three main areas of responsibility are:
- Ensuring that the Network Perimeter is clearly defined and all external
access is strictly controlled and monitored.
- Looking at ways of reducing the risk of internal and external security
incidents, which if they do happen need to be handled efficiently and effectively.
- Managing the routine operational maintenance of Firewalls and key
security infrastructure.

You will ideally be MCSE (Windows 2000), CCNA and CCSA/CCSE certified with experience with Checkpoint FW1, Nokia, VPN/IPSEC, IP addressing and routing (including experience with the OSPF and BGP protocols), Network Analysis skills, Unix, BS7799, DNS, SMTP, Mailsweeper, Microsoft Proxy Server, Microsoft ISA, LDAP Directories, Lotus Notes, IIS, and HTML.
