Job Purpose
Sells and Delivers Consultancy Services within country and where appropriate
across the France theatre. Responsible for the design and delivery of
consulting solutions involving our technology services that result in high
margin revenue of $3M or more per year for Unisys. To provide leadership to
teams involved in the implementation of Security Services and related
projects, therefore the oversight of corresponding technologies & processes
e.g. PKI, SMS and Validation Services etc. This development and delivery
takes the form of client projects or developing and delivering outsourced
services where business drivers exist. The programme fully supports all
Business Units with high interaction with the GI Finance business sector
across the UK. The role will report to the Head of the Security Practice.
Job Responsibilities
Evaluates the client's business strategy, objectives and requirements. Using
advanced consulting methodologies, translates the client's long-range
business plan into a services strategy. Builds trust with the customer and
establishes his needs and how can help. Leads the sales of consulting
services to the client. Leads the delivery of consulting services to the
client. Develops solutions for clients in concert with Market strategy,
Offerings and best practice. And uses appropriate methodologies (such as
risk management change control management and contract management) to manage
major projects and assignments. Converts consulting assignments into Managed
Services or Outsourcing opportunities by careful sales qualification and
client journey management. Involving MNS sales professionals at appropriate
stages. Writes accurate and effective statements of work so that both the
client and staff understand the project expectations and roles. Identifies
and pursues new business opportunities within the existing Client base and
targeted high growth new accounts. Works jointly with other professionals
to plan accounts, identify new opportunities and conduct needs assessments.
Crafts and personally conceptualizes, architects, designs, implements and
supports integrated solutions for client engagements. Draws linkages
regularly between IT developments and Business issues and recognized in the
industry by peers as someone who can consultant in IT Infrastructure
Solutions; adroitly able to relate and link client business needs and
application challenges to the underlying technology infrastructure. Able to
Interface comfortably with the client's highest executives (CIO, CSO, COO
and CEO), discussing technology solutions that meet their needs. Recognized
as a speaker on major issues who regularly addresses audiences of major
organizations across the country. Able to demonstrates exceptional
understanding of the infrastructure space with in-depth experience in
Security, Microsoft, Middleware or Networking. Works to ensure that a
steady stream of follow-on services is made available to complement the
original services offering. Builds and sustains client relationships over
the long term. Establishes and maintains productive working relationships
with third party companies and with other business units and uses these
relationships to the best advantage in client engagements. Promotes and
one's own capabilities by networking with peers in other companies and
actively supporting professional organizations and user groups.
Requirements & Experience
- 10 years direct experience gained from multiple consulting
assignments involving Security infrastructure change (technical or
procedural).
- Candidates should show demonstrable experience of winning
assignments and delivering them via formal bid processes and consultative
selling.
- Proven track record in dealing at or near Board level in business
development working in a seller/doer consulting model.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure consultancy from a business
perspective and a record of partnering with security organizations such as
Cisco, Checkpoint, ISS, Msoft.
- Experience of managing a team of consulting professionals and others
in major assignments and able to mentor colleagues in thriving in the
seller/doer consulting way of working;
- Mobile and able to work occasionally on a transnational basis if
needed;
- Acknowledged as a Subject Matter Expert and visionary within the
security industry.
- Thorough understanding of computing, with a specialty in Security
Services desirable e.g. Security Managed Services;
- Design and operational experience of Information Security Management
Systems;
- Experience of industry institutions advantageous e.g. Finance Sector
and SWIFT;
- Knowledge of market and competition a must have;
- Knowledge of Industry security standards such as BS7799, ISF SOGP
etc is essential;
- Broad understanding of industry issues related to security and
privacy, the impact on business such as e-commerce, legal and moral
obligations to the community;
- Detailed knowledge of Information Technology Security concepts,
principles, methods, and tools;
- Comprehensive knowledge of Intranet and Internet architecture and
associated issues, risks and threats;
- Design, Development, Implementation and operational management of
security tools a distinct advantage:
- Practical experience of delivery or at least having been part of
constructing written security Policies and delivery methodologies;
- Involvement in industry driving forces an advantage.
