Senior Computer Forensic Examiner DC Area

UNITED STATES CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED Requirements
Bachelor's Degree w/ some science courses

or

120 hours of IT training in the last 3 years A+ Certification or equivalent
3 or more years work experience in computer hardware, network administration, and software or cyber crime investigations 80 hours of computer forensics training within the last 3 years Completed at least 60 criminal computer forensics examinations consisting of the hard drive backup, examination of a duplicate work copy and signed written report completed within the last 36 months

or

Served as a full time forensics examiner in a law enforcement organization for 2 years or more

Server Computers
Hard Drives
Diskettes
Data Tapes
Cartridges (zip)

Documented use within the last 3 years with any of the following computer forensic examination software: Ilook, Encase, Forensic Tool Kit, Safeback, Data Lifter, Paraben, and RCMP Utilities and

Documented use within the last 3 years with any of the following browser/data viewer software: Winhex, Quick View Plus, Thumbplus, DB-  MB-Extract, and ACDSee.

Testified in federal or state court in a computer forensic matter as an expert witness or completed a moot court exercise in computer forensics

Successfully completed a computer forensics proficiency, certification, or qualification test (such as IACIS, Encase, DCITP, etc.) within the last 18 months

Be eligible to pass a background investigation.
