Java / Web Developer - Senior - 8 - 12 month contract

Job Description - This is a contract position that may lead to full time employment. We are working on a large scale project for a client located overseas. This project requires the skills of a seasoned Web / Java Developer. You will be a senior member of the development team and expected to work with more junior members both in Calgary and abroad. Knowledge of Linux, MySQL, Apache, Tomcat, and other open source technologies is a definite asset.

Job Responsibilities - You will have the luxury of working in a very laid back environment and will be considered the senior developer, this will be your show and your feedback and ideas are essential. Minimal travel is expected for this position but odd hours might occur as communication with other timezones will be required. You will be expected to be a part of the team and provide guidance to more junior developers.

Job Qualifications - Proven hands on development experience. Knowledge of web application security issues. Experience in designing and building web solutions.

Educational Requirements - While an education in Computer Sciences is seen as an asset Entrench Technologies believes that proven skill and work experience is just as valuable.
