Application Security Architect - Chicago, IL

Application Security Architect  Internal Consultant The position is located in Northbrook, IL. $85-$100K base salary

The purpose of this position is to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the client's information assets through the development and implementation of sound application security practices and methodologies.

The core responsibility of this job is to develop repeatable processes and reusable technologies that ensure secure coding and application development principles across the organization.

The individual will be responsible for:
1. Defining secure coding/application development principles. 2. Developing repeatable processes to ensure secure coding/application development principles.
3. Developing reusable programming technologies that ensure secure coding/application development principles. 4. Educating application development teams on secure coding/application development principles.

Experience Required:
5+ years application development. CISSP, GSEC, and/or CISA Certifications are a plus.
Deep knowledge of application security risk, secure application architecture and secure software engineering practices. Ability to collaborate with and mentor development teams to ensure that secure software engineering practices are valued and understood. A highly consultative and collaborative approach.

Education:
College Degree - Preferred
Major preference: Computer Science
CISSP, GSEC, and/or CISA Certifications are a plus
