Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for the design and development of network intrusion detectsion software and its integration into IDS Appliances. Includes functional definition and documentation of features/products developed. Strong development methods and practices must be followed including complete unit and integration testing of all software functionality developed. Review and provide feedback on documentation and
procedures for installation and maintenance. Analyze, identify and recommend design
enhancements and other product improvements.

Must interact and work well with other
developers, researchers and testings working on Dragon NIDS Appliances and all other Dragon Product components.         

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Strong C Programming skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of system architectures
  • Knowledge of Operating Systems Internals
  • Understanding of Internet Protocols
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year College or university; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.         

Desired Skills/Experience:
* Experience with high performance applications.

  • Knowledgeable of network protocols.
  • Can effectively respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Linux/Unix network programming using sockets and encryption
  • Understanding of common database software (Sybase, Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL)
  • Experience with Network and Host-based Intrusion Detection products
