The purpose of the department is to protect the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of the Company’s information assets.

The scope of this job is to specify and integrate requisite information security controls into all new IT initiatives for Human Resources, Corporate Relations, and Law & Regulations (HR, CR, LR).

The individual will be responsible for:

1. Representing all "client facing" services within HR, CR, LR.
2. Ensuring proper security controls are integrated into each new business solution within HR, CR, LR.
3. Delivering on the Security Team's value propositions. They are: create an enterprise view of technology, act as the relationship broker with outside vendors, provide thought leadership to business issues, and provide a fact-based approach to solving security issues.
4. Documenting existing application security architectures within HR, CR, LR.

The skills required are:

1. Advanced - Network security controls, operating systems security controls, application level security controls.
2. Advanced - Professional representation of information security disciplines as part of a cross-functional team. Able to balance security principles and business requirements.
3. Intermediate - Is a subject matter expert for the input, outputs, triggers, and delineations for all of the company’s services.
4. Intermediate - Programming background
5. Beginner - Microsoft .NET security framework and/or MS Visual Basic secure coding experience.

Experience Required:
At least 5 years of: planning/building/implementing , security controls for large scale, highly available solutions as a member of a cross-functional engineering team, and 3-5 years of application development experience.

Computer Proficiency:
Proficient in network, operating system, and application level security controls.

Education:
College Degree - Preferred
Major preference: Computer Science
CISSP, CISA, GIAC, and/or MCSE credentials are a plus. Also, must have experience in HIPAA, GLB, .Net and/or VB programming.
