Security Product Line Manager, New Jersey $95-$110K base salary, equity, bonus

My client is a leading global provider of secure socket layer virtual private networking (SSL VPN) products for the business market. My client is seeking an experienced product management leader to focus on the companys SSL VPN appliance offerings. The successful candidate will plan and direct all aspects of the clients product management including product development strategies, objectives, roadmap, initiatives, features, pricing and timelines. This position will report directly to the CEO. Responsibilities include owning the product roadmap and detailed features, determining pricing, analyzing the competition, creating competitive strategies and leading successful new product launches.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree (Masters desirable) with at least 5 years of domain experience in security/secure networking within related IT products businesses. The candidate must demonstrate business acumen and knowledge in Internet security, data networking, secure remote access, virtual private networking and related business concepts, practices, and procedures. This is a leadership position requiring interface to and influence on engineering, product marketing, operations, sales and finance. The successful candidate will exhibit excellent written and verbal communications skills along with a self-starter attitude and a high degree of creativity. This position will enjoy a wide latitude to make things happen within the organization.

Compensation (between $95,000 and $110,000 annually) and title to be determined based upon demonstrated experience and capability. Significant equity stock options and bonus-plan will be offered based upon mutually agreed milestones and achievement of objectives. Customary medical, dental, insurance, 401(k), vacation and other company benefits are available. This position is located in NJ. 30% travel should be expected.
