Hello, my name is John van Meter and I'm looking for an Information Technology position that will enable me to utilize and expand my security and technical expertise.

I have 12 years technical experience applying advanced network and office automation solutions to meet customer requirements. My duties included Helpdesk management, network design, implementation, LAN/WAN connectivity, Internet connectivity, mainframe connectivity, remote access, security and system performance.

Recent security projects have included, configuring host based and network based IDS, vulnerability and patch level assessments for Windows 2000 Server and Professional, independently identifying, assessing and responding to client's security related issues, enterprise anti-virus solution and automating the collection and presentation of real time security events to management via a web portal.
