Windows Shellcode Writing

Hello, I was wondering whats the best way to learn to start writing shellcode for Windows? I have found more than enough beginner level documents on it for linux or unix based os's but nothing like it for Windows. Judging from what I have seen shellcoding for Windows looks a lot more complex. Please let me know.
