Ok. Is this a recent change, say perhaps with 2.x? I could've sworn I was tagging and outputing to a database with 1.8.x and 1.9.x, but stranger things have happened.

Are there plans to support tagging with the database output plugin? If not, it'd probably be a good idea to mention this in the documentation somewhere, most likely in the spo_database section.
