Jason Alexander has forked Snortcenter for precisely this reason. Probably the best thing to do is pull the CVS code from <http://sourceforge.net/projects/snortcenter2/> and take a look. There's a bunch of code in there from Dave Fennell and myself. Additionally, I've been building well-integrated RPMs of Snort, Snortcenter, mudpit, ACID, p0f, and some scripts for managing the databases/tables/users in a MySQL RDBMS. I hope to be able to release these for public consumption in the near future. Also, <http://www.ossim.net> might be worth a look (I'm working on integrating this, too).
