yup, I changed directories using cd c:\Snort before I ran snort. However, it looks to me like the snort executable is in c:\Snort\bin. So, now I changed it to it, and run it again.
Now a new window pops up and says: "snort.exe - Unable to locate component. This application has failed to start because ntwdblib.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem"

This sounds odd to me, cause the ntwdblib.dll is in the same directory as snort.exe, which is the bin.
