Short answer on freebsd is:
Make sure you are running Freebsd 5.5+, udpate ports tree and do this: portupgrade -R p5-Mail-SpamAssassin

Long answer is that there are likely to be a LOT of new options to deal with. Things are in different directories, new SA does updates and can compile expressions. Biggest issues for linux types might be dependencies (the -R option to portupgrade SHOULD fix that) Depending on how you started SA, you might need to add rc.conf values (see /usr/local/etc/rc.d/)
